1 Find what you are looking for

If you do not know where to buy, you can use a search or price comparison engine using Google.com, Pricegrabber.com, Froogle.com, etc. Submit the specifications of the item and they engine will show some results.

If you already know the site that sells the item, just use the Search Box of the site to locate your item.

2 Adding items to your shopping cart

When you find the item you are looking for, click on the "Add to Shopping cart" button. After the screen has refreshed, you may shop for additional items by pressing the "Continue shopping" button.

Don't worry about having too many items in your shopping cart. You will have a chance to review and eliminate unwanted items from your shopping cart before finalizing your purchase. You may also access your shopping cart by clicking on the VIEW CART / Shopping Cart icon at the top of the page.

3 Registering

Many sites like Amazon.com, allow you to register online. By registering your name, address, and even credit card information, this information can be saved and help expedite future purchases from the site (by not having to re-enter this information for every purchase).

4 Enter your shipping address

In this section you must enter the Aeropost Miami Smart Address. Some sites even allow you to buy an item with your credit card and send it to another person and address.

The site will also ask for a "billing address", which is the exact address shown on your credit card statement. We suggest that you have your statements mailed to your Smart Address or add the Aeropost as an alternate billing address in order to avoid your order being cancelled. So when entering your "billing address" on the page make sure to use you Smart Address as well. Some pages will not accept a billing address different from the "shipping address", so make sure your Smart Address can be used as a billing address.

5 Select your shipping options to Miami

Most sites allow you to choose from several different shipping options. Shipping times may range anywhere from 1 to 10 days. In general, the shorter the shipping time the higher the shipping price. Hence, if your purchase is not urgent, we recommend "Standard Shipping" or "Ground Shipping".

6 Payment Method

The most common form of online payment is credit or debit card. To ensure that your order is not cancelled, please make sure of the following:

- You must use a USA or international credit or debit card.

- Make sure that your Smart Address is your credit card "Billing Address" or is included as an alternate billing address.

- Enter your name exactly as it appears on your card.

- If your order is still rejected, it may be that the site only accepts USA credit cards. If this is the case, we recommend that you search for an alternate site, or use our Aeropost Corporate Card.

7 Placing your order

Clicking on "Submit your order" or "Place your order" will place your order. Please review your order carefully (quantitiy, size, color, availability, etc.) before placing your order.

You will receive an email summarizing your purchase. In most cases you will receive an order and account number with the email. In some cases you will also receive an additional email with the package tracking number once your order ships.

8 Rules to follow

Make sure to purchase from secure sites: there should be a closed yellow padlock icon at the bottom of the webpage. You may click on the padlock icon to view the security certificate for the site. Make sure that the security certificate information matches the site name and that URL information is the same.

Some sites allow you to either group items for shipping. Grouping items for shipping will save on shipping costs, but may delay your order if one or more of the items is not immediately available for shipping.

Amazon.com for example, has several suppliers and warehouses in the USA, so even products ordered together could be shipped separately.

Registering on Amazon.com, allows you to track your packages, cancel your orders or parts of your order, change the shipping address, print out your invoices, provide feedback about a product or supplier, see your order history or previous purchases, change your payment method, return products, or select from different gift-wrapping options.

We do not recommend you pay the extra fee for gift wrapping since Customs in your country will open the package even if it is gift wrapped.
